Yosouf Abdulrahman Al-Salehi has been a dynamic presence on Stars of Science, serving as a permanent jury member for three consecutive seasons (2013-2015) and returning as a guest juror for several seasons. This year, he will be part of the Stars of Science season 16 jury panel.

As the former Executive Director of the Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP), Mr. Al-Salehi brings a wealth of knowledge through extensive experience in technology transfer and commercialization. His broad expertise in technology development and scientific research positions him as a pivotal figure in senior leadership roles.

With a career spanning over 25 years in Qatar's oil and gas industry, Mr. Al-Salehi embarked on his professional journey in 1997 as a quality controller at Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO), swiftly ascending to leadership positions.

By 2007, as Vice President of the Qatar Shell Research & Technology Centre (QSRTC)––an anchor tenant of QSTP––Mr. Al-Salehi spearheaded QSRTC’s $100 million research investment, specifically focusing on “corrosion in gas plants” and “CO2 utilization and water solutions’. During his tenure as Vice President, Mr. Al-Salehi not only advanced QSRTC’s research initiatives but also fostered Qatar Shell’s collaborations with key local and international academic institutions, and ensured the organization met its Qatarization KPIs in each department.

Mr Al-Salehi’s influence extends beyond QSRTC; he also serves on the advisory board of Investment Promotion Agency Qatar (IPAQ) and is an esteemed member of Qatar’s Artificial Intelligence Committee.
