Season 8 (2016) witnessed Sadeem Qdeisat from Jordan taking home first place with his innovation Genomiq, an automated slide dropping in genetic testing.

About the Project
During Stars of Science Season 8, Abderrahim wowed the jury members and the audience with his smart-wear autism shirt, coined WonderKit. The innovation is designed to aid parents that have a child with autisticspectrum disorder (ASD); monitoring extreme anxiety and panic attacks. The low-cost solution keeps parents up to date via their personal tablet or phone.

On Stars of Science Season 8, Saif had one mission - to ensure the visually impaired have access to the infinite world of Arabic literature. It may have seemed like mission impossible when he first contemplated the idea. Viewers, however, soon found out behind Saif’s calm exterior lurks a vibrant, innovative spirit just waiting to burst out. Lo and behold, in a stealthy fashion Tom Cruise would envy, the young Omani quickly established himself with the SOS jury and audience as a force to be reckoned with.

About the Project
Sadeem took home the top prize in Season 8 with his invention, GenomiQ. The device is all about genetic testing. This type of testing is sometimes required for medical examinations to identify if a person has developed a disease. GenomiQ automates the process of genetic testing, with the ultimate aim of improving testing accuracy, as well as eliminating human error and cross contamination of samples.
