Ahmad Al Ramahi
About
Ahmad Ramahi is a Palestinian innovator and entrepreneur whose journey on Stars of Science Season 4 marked the beginning of a distinguished career in technology-driven solutions. He first gained recognition for iSurface, an interactive and affordable smart board designed to transform traditional classrooms into engaging, interactive learning environments.
Building on the experience gained during Stars of Science, Ahmad went on to establish Appcessories Ltd in Palestine, specializing in R&D and product development. iSurface went on to secure patents in 7 countries, including across the GCC and Palestine, and is now used in more than 80 schools in Palestine, Jordan, and Kuwait.
Ahmad’s dedication to innovation and education led to multiple awards, including recognition by President Mahmoud Abbas at the First National Forum for Innovation in Palestine and winning top prizes in regional and global entrepreneurship competitions.
About the Project
Today, Ahmad is the Founder and CEO of Thrivve, a Saudi-based fintech startup empowering gig workers — such as Uber and Amazon drivers — to achieve vehicle ownership through flexible, Shariah-compliant financing models that bypass the need for traditional loans or guarantors.
Thrivve’s innovative edge lies in its proprietary AI-powered Trust Score, which evaluates users based on real income and usage data rather than conventional credit histories. This approach opens financial access to underserved populations across the Arab world.
Since its launch, Thrivve has enabled over 1,800 drivers to access vehicles and has facilitated more than SAR 33 million in driver earnings through partnerships with major platforms. Thrivve has also received significant local recognition and was selected to represent Saudi Arabia in the Entrepreneurship World Cup.
Impact
Ahmad’s work with Thrivve is transforming financial inclusion in the Arab region. By creating alternative credit models and accessible financing options, Thrivve is helping individuals unlock new income opportunities and greater economic independence.
In parallel with his entrepreneurial ventures, Ahmad volunteers as a board member at Al Nayzak Foundation for Supportive Education and Scientific Innovation in Palestine. This pioneering educational institution nurtures scientific creativity among Palestinian youth through STEM programs that span early childhood to entrepreneurship, further amplifying Ahmad’s impact in his home country.
