“Participating in Stars of Science has instilled in me the belief that anything is possible if you believe in your vision. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to be part of this inspiring community and for the invaluable experiences and lessons I've gained,” says Meshal Saeed, who ranked third in Stars of Science (SOS) season 9.

Project & Impact

Meshal Saeed's journey from a daring firefighter to a globe-trotting innovator exemplifies his drive for success. The man behind the Hajj Navigation Bracelet, Meshal earned his Mechanical Engineering degree before working for NASA.

As a Boy Scout, Meshal volunteered at the Hajj in Mecca, witnessing the logistical challenges faced by over two million pilgrims. Inspired to improve their safety and focus on their spiritual experience, he created a smart bracelet using Bluetooth and GPS technology. This long-life bracelet guides pilgrims, saves vital information, tracks them in emergencies, and helps them navigate back to Mina, the 'Tent City.'

Beyond Stars of Science

Meshal Saeed currently works for Apple as a Hardware Engineering Project Manager in Cupertino, California, since April 2022. Working at Apple has been an incredibly enriching experience, providing him with valuable insights into transforming innovative ideas into high-quality, market-sustaining products.

Meshal is currently developing a smart Saudi coffee machine that automates the entire brewing process with a single touch button. He is actively seeking funding to support this project, with the aim of launching it by the end of 2025.
