Success Stories
Haitham Dasouki, a Stars of Science Season 3 alumnus, displayed a profound interest in science and animated films throughout his childhood. He spent most of his time in his home workshop disassembling toys to analyze their parts, showcasing an early passion for innovation and technology.
Project & Impact
While working on one of his projects to create a touch-sensitive, ring-shaped computer mouse, Haitham decided to take his invention to the next level by creating opposite surface stickers for nonconductive planar touch sensors. This new method relies on electrostatic energy, which can be applied to insulating surfaces like wood, plastic, glass, marble, and textile. The goal of this invention is to transform nonconductive surfaces with limited thickness, such as wood and glass, into touch sensors or screens with transparent stickers placed on the opposite side of the operation interface. Haitham’s ultimate aim with this project was to benefit society through his innovative inventions.
Beyond Stars of Science
After his time on Stars of Science, Haitham continued to pursue his passion for technology and innovation. He established his own company, Vivifi, in Egypt, specializing in product design and Internet of Things (IoT) projects. In addition to running his company, Haitham works at Wakeb Data Company as an electronics engineering technology specialist, with a particular focus on drones. Moreover, he contributes to the academic field by teaching in the electronics and communication department at AUC University. Through these endeavors, Haitham remains dedicated to advancing technology and sharing his knowledge with the next generation of innovators.
