Dr. Mohannad Hakeem

Dr. Mohannad Hakeem joined our Stars of Science technical team in season 12, coming all the way from Dearborn, Michigan, USA. As an Automated Driving Validation engineer at Ford Motor Company, he supports virtual validation of self-driving cars to ensure robust and safe design of the automated driving software. In addition, he maintained an excellent track record of publications and patents at Ford research center, by filing and publishing more than 80 patents and papers since 2013.  

 

Originally from Lebanon, Mohannad graduated from the American University of Beirut in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree and in 2005 with a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Later on, he joined Wayne State University's PhD program in Mechanical Engineering, and graduated in 2011 with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering.  

In addition to his research and corporate experience, Dr. Hakeem is a story teller who shares insights on productivity, innovation, and life-design on his YouTube channel.
