Jaber’s invention, entitled ‘Automated Home Pharmacy’, aims to help the elderly consume their prescribed medication at the right time. He noticed that many older, sick people in his society depended on family members to take their medicine on a daily basis which is why he decided to address this issue by creating an automated system. He believes his invention will enable the elderly to become more independent and will facilitate their daily lives.

Amina Alhawaj’s innovation story started when she was a physical therapist. Noticing that many of her patients were experiencing persistent pain during rehabilitation of their lower body, she set out to change the status quo. Working around the clock, the Bahraini developed an apparatus designed to reduce pain and increase mobility during rehabilitation. Originally named the ‘Lower Limb Rehabilitation Device,’ the invention worked wonders for those wanting to achieve normal movement of the hip, knee and ankle during the early stages of rehabilitation.

Mahmoud invented a “Vertical Wind Turbine” called “Reyah-T”, a turbine which generates power from wind four times more resourcefully than traditional turbines (four watts versus one), and has the ability to generate power from low speed winds.

Ahmad’s invention, “Interactive Learning Surface” is an efficient and cost-efficient portable smart board. The device can be placed on any surface and becomes interactive with a click of a button. Unlike conventional smart boards available on the market, the board is affordable and portable.
